Trip to Design Bloggers Conference in LA

What a great time I had in LA? The purpose of  crossing 8,000 miles was opening new paths to my design career being as a new blogger.  As many professionals involved and attached to the power of  the  cyberspace I had also lot of questions in mind about how can I do it better, faster and more effective. As no surprise, my curiosity did not care about the distance between Istanbul and LA.  The feeling was again, knocking next door and asking for professional help to my questions. I must tell I had many good answers one after another one. Starting executing them will be the best way to digest them I believe.  Since my motto has always been “just do it instead of  thinking or talking about!”, now I feel like I m right on the track:)

It was overwhelming for me to see such passionate people about their professions and so eager to learn to make for better. As DesignSherpa, the organizer of this great conference commented the enthusiasm that all designers, peers displayed to meet and collaborate added such a great energy to this conference. Finally, we were all happy to be part of such creative community and learning the possibilities of what advanced network technology can bring  new possibilities to our lives and businesses. Thanks to Design Sherpa organizing such great event!

So delighted to start the first conference day by a glass of champagne from NapaValley
Preconference Coctail. In Sofitel, West Holywood the live Oscar awards night was on screen next door of  coctail room. But, designer bloggers crowd was busy interacting each other before the conference day and not really too much into Oscars night:)

I m delighted to meet with Karin Coble Eaton who is the president and designer of  the Ironware International. The company creates and sell beautiful iron made lighting fixtures as well as  furnitures. I m looking forward to integrate more with her to develop new design and business ideas. It is so exciting to think about the possibilities of  new business collaboration.

It was very nice to see many design materials and patterns from Turkey at the Design showrooms in Almont Drive Patio during the Traditional Home Magazine after conference party. I enjoy seeing the appreciation of  American Designers about Turkish Design.

That inspires me more about the online shop which hopefully I will be launching soon.
